What you should know about Fioricet

Fioricet is used to treat tension headaches, which are caused by contractions in muscles. Fioricet may be used for other purposes that are not mentioned here. This drug is a pain relief treatment and is also known to reduce fever. It contains a combination of butabil, acetaminophen and caffeine.

How it works with others drugs?

The risk with using other products with Fioricet is that you might use too much of acetaminophen, which can damage your health. Always read the label of the medication you are about to use. Assuming that all medications are the same might increase your chances of suffering from the side effects.

Avoid drinking alcohol when you are using Fioricet so that the risk of liver damage is reduced. Do not take this drug at all if you have more than 3 alcoholic drinks per day. Do not take more than 2 grams of this drug per day. Inform your doctor about your lifestyle, especially if you take alcoholic drinks everyday.

Can you take it during pregnancy?

It is not known whether this medication harms the fetus but you should avoid taking it if you are pregnant or are planning to get pregnant. Also, do not use it if you are breastfeeding. Always consult the doctor before taking this medication as self medication can be dangerous. Also, do not overdose Fioricet under any condition as it will only increase the risk of side effects.
